Teaching
Our
teaching activities cover the subject field of public finance. Lectures
and seminars are solely held at the postgraduate level (i.e. postmaster or
equivalent degree in Germany) in different programmes of study. These
include:

three
months training of prospective lawyers and public officers,
-
Master
of Public Administration, Mag.rer.publ., a one-year-programme,
-
European
Master of Public Administration, like the programme above, including
one semester spend abroad. The studies are coordinated along
with a number of partner institutions from around Europe.

Doctoral
Studies programme, including the supervision of doctoral thesises
which subjects come from the research fields listed below.
The
subjects of our courses included in the past semesters:

principles
of public finance (for non-economists),

public
budgeting and budget reforms,

local
government finance,
-
system
of old age security in Germany and selected other countries.
Research
Our research
activities cover some main fields of public finance. Especially:

Consequences
of ageing population for public receipts and spending.

Public
budgeting.

Housing
subsidies.
-
Federalism,
fiscal equalisation, local government finance and fiscal constitution.

Financing
education.
