If you travel by car

• Leave the motorway A 61 at "Autobahnkreuz Speyer" (Speyer junction) to join the Bundesstraße 9 (Federal Main Road No. 9) towards Speyer.

• Take exit "Speyer/Verwaltungshochschule"

• At the traffic lights take first turn right into the "Freiherr-vom-Stein" street. Here you find the University's main entrance and a parking site. The old hostel ist next door to the parking site.

• If you drive straight on and turn to the right into "Otto-Mayer" street you will arrive in abt. 200 meters at the parking site of the professorial chairs' building (near the bus stop, on the right hand). If you drive on for some 300 meters till the end of the street you will arrive at the guest house parking site.

If you travel by train

From Mannheim main station (ICE inter-city terminal) there is a train connection to Speyer every 30 minutes the day. Journey time is about half an hour. You can have a look at the schedule of the German Railways.The University is about 2 km from Speyer railway station. We would recommend that you ride either by taxi or by bus. The bus, No. 561,departing every 30 minutes from bus stop "Bahnhof" (railway station) at platform 1, travels some 15 minutes to the bus stop "Verwaltungshochschule" (University) in front of the University's main entrance in the Freiherr-vom-Stein street. Next stop is "Landesarchiv / Bibliothek" (Main entrance of the professorial chairs' building and of the guest house in "Otto-Mayer" street). From Monday to Friday the first bus departs at 6:17, the last one at 19:47 ( at 19:17 on weekends).
